Well as you can see by our blog entries things are moving quickly now. I just received tracking information that I will be receiving our authenticated dossier back today and i will in turn repackage it and Fed Ex it back out tonight to our CM. She will then Fed Ex it to Vietnam. I got a message from our director today that our dossier will go right to Hanoi for approval. Now here's the problem, there always is one. Vietnam celebrates Tet in ebruary therefore they shut down everything for a few weeks. So....no work done on our dossier. Darn!!!! But our director was hopeful. He said that the DIA in Vietnam said if they have our dossier in the beginning of February they could try to translate it quickly...usually takes about 5 days. Then it will sit and wait until after Tet to be finished. The good thing is that it should only take about 1 month to approve rather than the 3-4 month which we originally thought. So our director is estimating that hopefully we will have the dossier back in Da Nang mid MARCH. And HOPEFULLY we will have our referral by that point. It's still a waiting game!!!! But things are looking brighter.
Our neighbors across the road are in Florida until March 8th so she will be glad that when she comes home she will be in on all of this excitement too!!!! I guess I'll call her today and clue her in on what's going on.

WEEEHAAAWWW!!!
We received a forum return message from the Vietnam Program Director for our agency that stated that we should be hearing from our CM with our referral in about 5-6 weeks. This is wonderful news for us. We are hoping this means that we will be able to travel to Vietnam n June or July at the same time as Jeff & Michelle. That would be awesome. Continue to pray for Jaden as it looks like she is getting closer to our reach. As soon as we have her picture I'll be posting it here!!!!
In paperwork news:
We braved a terrific snowstorm to get the dossier to the Fed Ex box on Thursday night. As of right now I have been tracking it and it is in San Francisco waiting to be dropped at its location tomorrow morning. I have set up tracking on the return label also so we will be able to tell when it is coming back to us. We are hoping that we get it back by the end of the week. Our CM is anxiously awaiting its arrival to her and she will immediately Fed Ex it off to Vietnam for its translation. Then we await wordof a date of our G & R Ceremony (this is the actual adoption day). WOW!!! I can't believe how quickly this is moving along suddenly. Let's just keep praying that Jadens referral will be here by the end of February.

Latest and GREATEST update!!!!
Alot is happening in adoption world...There has been word from the agency that the newly opened orphanage has accepted 3 babies in. One girl and 2 boys, so it is rolling finally!!! Now as for where it goes from here. Our wonderful friends in L.A., Jeff & Michelle, shouldreceive the referral of the girl and hopefully the couple ahead of us will accept one of the boys which would put us next in line for a girl. That's awesome news. Thebummer is that once these children come to the orphanage they must bethere 30 days before we can receive their referral. This is so that the Vietnamese get to have first choice of adoption, which as we've been told usually never happens. They also need to get their medical exams and paperwork sorted out. So once the current 3 children are referred out they anticipate that they will be able to travel to get them in June or July. Soooo.. hopefully our baby girl will soon be chosen by God to be presented to the orphanage and wewill get to travel for her in July or August. We hope to have a picture of her by March. Sounds far off but it's really not.
Yesterday we were able to pick up our police clearance paperwork after much effort from Merle Phillips office (Cindy) and the Sunbury Police Dept. (Steve). We thank both of these people for their efforts and kindness in this dilemna. You certainly were wonderful. Then last evening we had all of our notarization done. Today my wonderful SIL Cheryl took me in the snow to Harrisburg to get our dossier certified, which was a piece of cake. It took all of 10 minutes and the lady there was so kind too. Thanks Cheryl for your generosity!!! Now I have just printed off the labels to Fed Ex Overnight our dossier to the Consulate Generals office in San Francisco. Once they authenticate it,we can send it back to our agency, our CM, and it will be forwrded to Vietnam for translation. This is a fast moving part of the adoption.
So as you can see I have been rather busy. So busy that I didn't even get to the store to get my loving husband Norm a card for his birthday today. Well he'll understand. I am taking him and the girls out for supper tonight and we are going to Fed Ex our envelope and then come home to have cake. I did manage to stop by a bakery today to pick one of those up, thanks again to my SIL.
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY NORM!!!!!
We'll let you know as things progress!!!!

Hello!!
Here's a quick update where we are inn the adoption world. Our dossier is only one document away from completion after much legwork and begging to do some of the documents. Thanks to Representative Merle Phillips office, especially Cindy, who did alot of phone calling and begging for us so that we could get our local police clearance completed. That was our final document that needed done and it was the most trying to complete. We had a wonderful group of people working on this with us. THANKS TO ALL!!!!! We have heard that the estimated time to be in Vietnam to adopt Jaden has lengthened to 3-4 weeks so please pray for us because that is a log time to be out of our businesses. Norm is VERY concerned about this so we are hoping that there will be a change and they will shorten that time frame. I know God is GOOD and He will be with us through this. We are hoping to have our referral for March. Pray along with us for that too. We'll keep you updated!!!!

Guess What???....No, it's just another week gone by without any word. On Monday we will start our dossier adventure and hopefully complete that relatively quickly. I need to make a few phone call about it and we will be on our way. Our CM has been super helpful to us with preparing for it. I just keep driving her crazy with emails and phone call so check progress every week. If only we could have a clue that it is getting closer. A light at the end of the long tunnel. I realize we are only waiting now for 7 weeks and they estimate it to take 4-6 months to get a picture but it is driving me absolutely crazy. I'm not sure how Norm stays so calm about it. I think the nervousness and excitement will hit him when it is travel time. Then I will be in charge of everything. Oh Boy!!!! Well please keep praying that God will connect us with Jaden SOON!!!!
